Target Audience.
Positioned as a versatile and stylish electric cargo bike, the Pack Bike targets students who prioritise sustainability, convenience, and innovative design in their daily commuting needs PackBike offers a unique combination of functionality and style, addressing the challenges of urban commuting for students while providing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional transportation methods.
Workshop.
IBDC held a workshop at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, for all participates to brian storm ideas and consult with professors in the bicycle working feild, to come up with new innovative projects to enrich bicycle industry.
Storage. Frame. Seat.
The cargo compartment is designed to accommodate vanous dally items, including a dedicated space for a guitar or sports gear.
The compartment is easily adjustable and uses meterials like silicone, allowing students to customize the interior based on their specific needs.
The frame is made from lightweight yet durable aluminum, ensuring both strength and agility. Design features a low step-through frame for easy mounting and dismounting.
The seat is not only adjustable for all heights and all ages, it folds forewards to create more space for the back carrage space, allowing user to put more things, such as backpack, helmets etc.
Load Capacity
The innovative use of a collapsible, silicone-based storage system allows users to adapt the cargo compartment to their specific needs.
Whether carrying a guitar, sports gear, or grocenes, the flexible design ensures versatility and convenience for the user.
Foot Rest
The incorporation of an extendable platform at the bottom of the cargo compartment introduces a unique comfort feature.
Riders can comfortably rest their feet on the platform while cruising, enhancing overall ergonomics and making longer rides more enjoyable.
Electric Propulsion
The electric propulsion system not only provides a motorbike-like riding experience but also offers adjustability.
Users can customize the level of electric assistance based on their preferences and the terrain, providing a personalized and energy-efficient commuting solution.
Award.
This project participated in 2024 IBDC (International Bicycle Design Competition) and has been awarded the Excellent Award.
The award show was held in Taipei, where all the winners were celebrated.
